All articles published in our journal are freely available online to read, download and share, without subscription, registration or payment by readers.
Free and Immediate Access
Every article is openly available to a global audience from the moment of publication. We believe that removing barriers to research widens its readership, increases its impact and supports the free exchange of knowledge.
Licensing
Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY 4.0 licence. This allows anyone to read, copy, distribute and build upon the work in any medium, provided the original authors and source are properly credited.
Copyright
Authors retain copyright of their work. Publishing with us does not require authors to surrender copyright; instead, authors grant us a licence to publish, while remaining free to reuse their work in teaching, future research, theses and repositories, with acknowledgement of first publication in the journal.
Funding the Model
Since readers are not charged, the costs of peer review, editing, hosting and preservation are supported by a one-time article processing charge, payable only after a manuscript is accepted. Details are set out on our Processing Charges page.
Discoverability
Open access maximises the reach of published work. Our articles carry permanent Crossref DOIs and are indexed in Google Scholar, with metadata also harvested by open scholarly databases including OpenAlex, Scilit, Semantic Scholar, Lens, Dimensions, etc.
